Find out more about the services we (and others) offer during the COVID-19 pandemic!

Here at ADA we have a number of groups and services which can positively influence your recovery journey, even during the continued challenging times of Covid-19. This, at present, is a mixture of face-to-face and virtual contact through a variety of electronic media available to us to use. Check out some of the information below and get in touch if anything interests you.

Our Helpline is in operation from 1030am-1pm & 2-5pm Monday-Friday and 12-1pm & 2-5pm at weekends. Telephone 01224 594700 or 07927 192706 or freephone on 0333 3 448 355 (from landline and pay monthly mobile contracts only); email our Helpline or use our webchat function, which appears in the small chat icon in the bottom right corner of this page (and all pages). Webchat is presently not available due to staffing issues

Needle Exchange & Sharp Response

Our office at 7 Hadden Street, Aberdeen, is open during the same hours as our Helpline above. Primarily, our doors are open to facilitate self-service or assisted needle exchange, with entry restricted to one visitor in the reception area at any time. If you are in crisis, we will always have staff available to help you during these hours.

Since late March '20, we have been operating 'Sharp Response' a mobile needle exchange service, vitally important to harm reduction, particularly during times of lock-down, social distancing and the temporary closure of our outreach n/x services.

Phone the helpline to place your orders, which will be delivered on a Thursday.

Alcohol sales in the UK have risen by around 30% during the COVID-19 lockdown. The ADA ASSET service operates in communities around South and Central Aberdeenshire, offering responsive advice, support and referral for individuals and family members experiencing difficulties around alcohol or drug use. At this time of lockdown our support is initially by telephone, is sensitive and confidential. Call us on the Helpline on 01224 594700 or 07927 192706; email us or use the online chat.

As in Aberdeen, 'shire services have been adapting to meet need as much as possible. A number of online meetings are running and can be viewed on this Online Meeting Timetable. ADA online meeting, delivered and supported in partnership with the Aberdeenshire ADP and others can be found HERE.
