AVAILABLE SERVICES

Here at ADA we have a number of groups and services which can positively influence your recovery journey. This, at present, is a mixture of face-to-face and virtual contact through a variety of electronic media available to us to use. Check out some of the information below and get in touch if anything interests you.

Helpline

Our Helpline is in operation from 1030am-1pm & 2-5pm Monday-Friday and 2-5pm at weekends. Telephone 01224 594700 or 07927 192706 or freephone on 0333 3 448 355 (from landline and pay monthly mobile contracts only); email our Helpline or use our webchat function, which appears in the small chat icon in the bottom right corner of this page (and all pages). Webchat is presently not available due service development

Needle Exchange (N/X) & Sharp Response

Our NX service is available from our Exchange Street entrance from 1030-1pm and 2-5pm, Monday - Friday and 2-5pm at the weekends.

Since late March '20, we have been operating 'Sharp Response' a mobile needle exchange service, vitally important to harm reduction (particularly during times of lock-down, social distancing and the temporary closure of our outreach n/x services during the COVID-19 pandemic).

Phone the helpline to place your orders, which will be delivered on a Thursday.

ADA Group Work

Staff have been working incredibly hard alongside our volunteers to bring some normality to the lives of our clients, especially when the coronavirus pandemic was rife. Much group work continues with enthusiasm, albeit some is curtailed.

If you have been previously involved or are interested in becoming involved, please contact our nominated administrators as follows (click on name):

This is an Accredited Course (Self Coaching in Recovery), giving an opportunity to develop self-awareness, learn new skills and strategies and identify strengths and weaknesses within the context of connection to others and building 'Recovery Capital'. Referral to the course is required. To register a note of interest, email ADA Groups or DART

We will be holding drop-in sessions, a very informal chance to meet with our lead worker, see the venue and have a look at some course materials. This will allow those interested to gain a clearer picture about what the course will entail and hopefully reduce any anxiety people may have about attending the course. Click the DART Timetable for information.
