“I found the training very worthwhile. I feel that I have gained relevant knowledge to pass on to both my colleagues and the clients I work with.”

Alcohol & Drugs Action historically provided free, monthly open-access information sessions covering a range of topics. In addition to these we are able to provide tailored training and consultancy. We are presently reviewing capacity for training and consultancy provision but, in the interim, if you have any requests, please contact us as per the detail below.

With thirty years in the alcohol and drug field, we have a wealth of experience and knowledge that is continuously updated to reflect new trends and legislation. Examples of some of the topics we can cover are:

· Awareness training relating to alcohol and drugs.
· Emerging and local drug trends
· Harm reduction interventions
· Break the Cycle
· Blood borne viruses
· Overdose awareness (inc. Naloxone)
· How to talk to children about drugs

We work closely with a range of partner organisations from private, third and statutory sectors and have a proud history of providing advice, information and support to the local community.

Please contact us to establish whether we can fulfil you request by calling 01224 577120 or email to

The Scottish Drugs Forum has very recently announced the launch of an introductory, e-learning Drug Awareness Course which is dedicated to raising basic knowledge and awareness of illicit drugs that are commonly used in Scotland. This is excellent news and we are sure this will prove both popular and beneficial.
