Saltire Award Presented To ADA Volunteer
ADA Volunteer Present With Saltire Award
On Friday 9th February, Kevin Stewart MSP came to ADA and presented volunteer Eleni Marinopoulou, with a Saltire Award for over 100 hours of volunteering with ADA.
The Saltire Award is the Scottish Governments national youth volunteer awards. These awards celebrate, recognise and reward the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers in Scotland, aged between 12 and 25.
Young people gain nationally recognised certificates, signed by Scottish Government Ministers, for the different amounts of volunteering they do.
Eleni volunteers with a number of our groups, gardening, art, food with friends, and was one of the volunteer organisers of our entry in the Celebrate Aberdeen parade last year. She is also keen on social media and has made some excellent film clips which were used for the Recovery Star Awards 2017. Congratulations and thank you from us all at ADA to Eleni.
