Substance Use Workers - Recovery Services (Full-time and part-time)

ADA is an award-winning charity, delivering specialist services to reduce harms and promote recovery of individuals and families affected by alcohol and drugs use in the Northeast of Scotland.

We are excited to be able to offer new Substance Use Worker roles based in our Aberdeen City Recovery Service due to a new long-term contract award and further funding announced for new innovative Project work.

We are looking for candidates that have a background in Community Learning, Nursing, Social Work, Counselling, or other related field/s. To be successful you must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the needs of those affected by alcohol or drug use. Ideally, you will have experience of working with substance users and knowledge of effective interventions.

PVG membership is essential for this post.

Board Member: Non-Renumerated Position

ADA is an award-winning charity, delivering specialist services to reduce harms and promote recovery of individuals and families affected by alcohol and drugs in the Northeast of Scotland. We are contracted through Health and Social Care in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, as the main provider for such services.

We are seeking Board Members and in addition, subject to relevant experience, a Chair of the board. Our board is made up of 6 experienced members who you will work closely with, alongside our CEO and senior leadership team to shape the organisation’s vision, enhance our current service offering and create lasting impact on the communities we support.

Do you have governance, board or senior management experience in following areas?

We offer training and development opportunities to enhance the knowledge and skills of all board members. This is an opportunity for all regardless of professional or personal experience.

Time commitment for board members is an average of 6 hours per month for attendance at board and subgroup meetings. Meetings are held in person with remote access as required.
