Time To Act Time To Remember

Today 31st August 2017 we marked International Drug Overdose Awareness Day in a very special way.  Our “Time To Remember Time To Act” event took place at Hadden Street.

This event was an opportunity to remember those who sadly lost their lives to overdose as well as train individuals on the use of Naloxone, a lifesaving medicine that can temporarily restore breathing in an overdose situation.

Family and friends individually decorated hearts with personal messages to remember loved ones they have sadly lost through overdose. Our ADA volunteers helped to display the hearts on the tree outside our Hadden Street service.

Our trained team and volunteers ran a training session so that people can be trained in the use of Naloxone , providing further opportunity to save a life from overdose.

If you wish to be trained in the use of Naloxone to help save a life please contact our helpline for further information, 01224 594700
